“ We visited Chicago a few days from Indianapolis for the wife's birthday. Visited Beatrix last month on our last visit. Needless to say, we ate there both mornings and got the same things, even though we looked at other options. My egg, bacon and cheese sandwich is one of the best ever! My wife loved the tomato/avocado salad. Hash browns are bomb! Bartenders and wait staff amazing! Beautiful market and location. Please make a location in Indy! Will be returning ”

“ This was my second time eating at Beatrix, but my first time at the River North location. During my last visit, I really enjoyed the light and fluffy lemon pancakes. This time, I opted for the yogurt. It was perfect for a light breakfast. I also asked for a separate coffee menu to take a look at what they had to offer. As a huge music fan, I loved the colossal photographs of various icons on the walls. I was told that the photographs differed by location as well. It was definitely worth taking a look around to check out each one. I look forward to visiting the other location! ”

“ Wonderful Sunday brunch with friends! Beatrix has a positive and bustling vibe, friendly service, and absolutely amazing food! Our party of 5 shared the Lemon Ricotta pancakes as a table starter - and wow! The texture of these gems were phenomenal, light, fluffy, yet rich with ricotta, topped with a light lemon syrup and large blackberries. All enjoyed their choices, ranging from Vanilla Bean Yogurt, Chimichurri Steak & Eggs, Shakshouka, and the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich. The coffee and cocktail choices are also top notch! Wonderful choice for brunch! ”

“ The food was delicious. Perfect blend of coffee and they keep it coming! We didn't have a reservation but the hostess put us at the bar to wait until we got a table. The bar tender let us order our breakfast there. His service was so good that we chose to continue to eat at the bar instead of moving to the table when it became available. Loved the background music of the 80's!!!! ”

“ We visited for lunch. We ordered the Sticky Cauliflower which a decent starter. We both had the Wild Mushroom Teriyaki Bowl; delicious! Very flavorful and the perfect portion. The lavender honey latte was pretty good, but the oat nog latte wasn't our favorite, was over spiced with what believe to be nutmeg. I would come back for the bowl again. ”

“ Went for happy hour and sat at the bar with a friend. We arrived at 3p on a Friday and there were plenty of seats at the bar. The bar stools were super comfortable, such that we ended up extending our happy hour onto dinner and sat for four hours! Service: ***** The bartender gave us menus and asked what we wanted immediately. It was always easy to ask him for seconds or to order food. Drinks came quickly. I ordered a happy hour priced beer which was bottled and he asked if I wanted it in the bottle or a glass which I appreciated. Ambiance: ***** Beatrix is beautiful. Fresh and somehow simultaneously cozy. For the first couple hours, the noise level was low enough to easily hear each other, but as the night progressed, the sound amplified. Still, although we had to talk louder, we never had to strain to hear each other. Drinks: I had the Pilsner happy hour beer which tasted like an IPA to me which isn't my favorite. So I switched to the old fashioned which was also on happy hour special. I'd expected it to be weak for the happy hour price but it was quite strong and delicious. Food: ***** Wow! First, the appetizers and burgers were cheaper for happy hour. We started with the fries and guac apps. We were both surprised at how much guac there was. I didn't try any but my friend enjoyed it. The fries were excellent. Served with sliced red hot peppers, some chili flakes, crispy sweet lemon slices, and aoili. The hot peppers were easy to avoid and the chili flakes were just the right amount of heat to add some interest to the fries without feeling spicy to me. I had dinner plans elsewhere which fell through. When we realized that we had extra time, my friend recommended the mushroom and quinoa burger. I hadn't tried a veggie burger in years because too many seem to be primarily rice or some other starch. These burgers were definitely the best vegetarian burgers I've had. Crispy with a highly satisfying charred crunch. The flavor of the mushrooms came through in a lovely umami way, but none of the sogginess of other mushroom burgers because the crisped quinoa provided the perfect texture. Pairing well with the mushrooms, the Swiss cheese augmented the flavors and added a creamy mouthfeel to the burger. Fries for the burgers didn't have any the fancy additions to the appetizer, but came with more aioli and ketchup. Four hours flew by in a heartbeat between old friends catching up, cozy atmosphere, comfy seats, a solid buzz, and too notch food. Can't wait to return!! ”

“ Hands down the best breakfast I ever had in Chicago, this is my second time coming to Chicago and I am sure I am coming back next year to this exact spot! Starting with the chai latte, that was great with that little cinnamon touch, but the star of the day was those amazing chilaquiles I had, I added some steak that was actually cooked just the way I liked! All the flavors involved were just perfect for my plate. As soon as you walked in to the restaurant you feel very welcomed and the decor is beautiful. Service was great as well. I am dreaming on moving to Chicago, and for sure I would be here at least once a week. ”
